Application

  • The maximum number of students who can enrol is 30, whereas the minimum number of participants to launch the course is 7. The Master’s Management Board may also consider whether it is possible to increase the number of places as mentioned above.
  • The tuition fee is € 7,500.00.
  • The application deadline is set for October 15th 2025, at 5:00 PM CET.

Requirements

The Master’s degree is intended for those who have obtained a first-level Master’s degree in accordance with:

ITALIAN DEGREES

Ministerial Decree 270/04*, in one of the following classes:

  •  (LM-4 R) Architecture and building engineering-architecture
  • (LM-4 c.u. R) Architecture and building engineering-architecture (five-year course)
  • (LM-4) Class of first-level master’s degrees in Architecture and building engineering-architecture
  • (LM-4 c.u.) Class of first-level master’s degrees in Architecture and building engineering-architecture (five-year course)
  • (LM-23) Class of first-level master’s degrees in Civil engineering
  • (LM-24) Class of first-level master’s degrees in Building systems engineering
  • (LM-26) Class of first-level master’s degree in Safety engineering
  • (LM-35) Class of first-level master’s degrees in Environmental and land use engineering
  • (LM-23 R) Civil Engineering
  • (LM-26 R) Safety engineering
  • (LM-35 R) Engineering for the environment and the territory

INTERNATIONAL DEGREES

 

Applicants holding a degree obtained abroad, deemed equivalent to the Italian degree classes, may also be admitted. The academic qualification obtained abroad should be comparable in duration and content to the Italian academic qualification.

The ROSE Master’s is intended for those who have obtained a first-level Master’s degree. For degrees obtained abroad, a first-level Master’s degree (MSc), such as the ROSE Graduate degree, is required.

Evaluation process

A selection committee comprising the coordinator and two Master’s degree lecturers will be formed to select applicants and create a ranking list. This list will be determined based on the following evaluation criteria: 

  • Up to 50 points for qualifications submitted, broken down as follows:
    1. curriculum vitae et studiorum > max 30 points;
    2. reference letters (up to three) > max 10 points;
    3. any other qualification or document qualifying the academic and/or professional experience > max 5 points;
    4. any scientific publications (with relevant list) > max 5 points.

Only students who achieve a score of at least 30 out of 50 points will be eligible for the individual oral interview conducted in English.

  • Up to 50 points for an individual oral interview conducted in English aimed at assessing the candidate’s skills, abilities and motivation in relation to the contents and specific objectives of the Master’s course. Special emphasis will be placed on any professional experience in the field, curriculum vitae et studiorum and references from referees, if any. The interview may also be conducted using suitable IT tools that ensure the candidate’s identification. For an interview to be considered successful, a score of at least 35 out of 50 points is required.

In the event of a tie in the ranking list, the candidate who is the youngest will prevail. If one or more candidates withdraw, the places they vacate will be offered again according to the ranking list until they are filled.

Auditors

To be admitted, auditors will be required to meet the following criteria:

  1. Auditors are required to hold a Bachelor’s Degree or a first-level Master’s Degree, pursuant to Ministerial Decree No. 270/2004 and under prior university systems, in any class/discipline. In addition, admission to the individual teaching module will be assessed by the Master’s Management Board on the basis of the auditor’s professional profile and curriculum vitae.
  2. Auditors may apply for admission to any module of the training course, for a maximum of 12 credits and a minimum of 3 credits.
  3. The enrolment fee is € 125.00 per individual credit, plus € 32.00 (two stamp duties) and € 200.00 (administrative expenses); participation does not include internship activities and the conduct of any examinations/final tests.
  4. Auditors will receive a specific certificate of attendance related to the modules attended, without any credits being awarded.
